Lumia 822 comes for Verizon Wireless users
Nokia announced the release of Lumia 822 for the users of Verizon. This mobile will feature a powerful Operating system in the name of Windows Phone 8. Nokia seem positive in this new move as they feel they have a chance in the extending the sales in the market by going more focused into the American Market.
Olivier Puech, President of Nokia Americas was quoted saying, “Bringing the Nokia Lumia 822 to Verizon Wireless allows us to expand our award winning Lumia brand to even more customers here in the United States”. This clearly shows that Nokia is not willing to make it easy for the competitors who have actually taken the market away from Finnish mobile giant.
The Lumia 822 will be aiming at proving high end features to their Verizon customers. The device boasts an 8 MP camera with the famous Carl Zeiss optics. There will also be a 1.2 MP front camera which will serve the purpose of video calling and self portraits, which has become quite normal in these days of FaceBook and Twitter.
Nokia enriches the camera experiences with the help of Smart shoot and Cinemagraph. The former will help in getting better photos by reducing the movement in the frame while the latter will provide some assistance in converting your pictures to GIFs. Panorama pictures are also being improved on their quality and Nokia also offers good editing suite in the name of Creative Studios.
Nokia also comes up with Nokia Drive +, a turn by turn navigation app which has pre-loaded US maps which can be viewed offline itself. Users will also have access to their City Lens feature which assists in identifying landmarks in conjunction with the Maps.
Verizon users can also use the Nokia Music. One will be able to browse their favorite songs both online and offline. Ads are completely disabled in the app and there will be no need for either a subscription or a log in.
Loaded with impressive elements Nokia aims to improve its US markets. But how the people will react, it’s for us to wait and see.
