HP Pavilion x2 13-P120NR Convertible Laptop Review
HP has launched quite a few convertibles this season and with where the tech world is going it is easily understandable. The HP Pavilion x2 13-P120NR is the convertible laptop we are going to see today and there are some interesting features to take a look at. Continue reading the review.
The design department doesn’t have anything special apart from the convertible feature. The rugged looking back will be good to hold when you are using it as a tablet. Since the screen size is just 13.3 inches it won’t be a problem carrying around.

The screen quality is nothing short of good and comes with a pixel resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. This means the screen is just high definition and with this screen size the pixel density is good enough and you won’t be able to notice any pixels with the naked eye.
The screen is also touch which is nothing special since it is also a tablet in function. The touch sensitivity is neat and is perfect for getting a complete experience from the Windows 8 operating system.
The processor that powers the HP Pavilion x2 13-P120NR is AMD elite Mobility quad core A6-1450 that clocks at 1.4 GHz. Though it is a good processor by all means there are better ones in the market and there’s no denying it. Since there are so many options for personalization you have the freedom to choose what you want.
The memory division is completed by a 4 GB DDR3 SD RAM. This means you will be able to do a good deal of multitasking. Since the tablet also uses the desktop version of the operating system, you can do better multi tasking than what you can in real tablets. This is a serious advantage.
A very impressive feature here is the 64GB solid state drive. Solid state drives improve the booting by a great extent. Though the space offered is less, it is still a positive leap for the future.
The AMD Radeon HD 8250 graphics card is a basic one and will support most of the mid range games without any issues. But the hardcore gamer is sure to be disappointed. And since you don’t have access to either Android or Apple ecosystems there can’t be a lot of tablet games you will be able to use, which is kind of a disadvantage.
The HP Pavilion x2 13-P120NR is a good step towards the future. We can even expect it to have dual operating systems, again, in the future. But it is good convertible touchscreen laptop for the price tag. We don’t see the use to buy it if you are staying at home. But if you travel a lot and have a hunger for innovation, this could be of good use to you.
