HP 110-216 reviewThe HP 110-216 is a very good option for people who prefer beautiful looks accompanied by some brute power. This desktop has the potential to fit the needs of every member of the family. The spec list is also decent at the price point provided. Read our complete review to know more about this new release.

Design

The design is a fresh breeze in desktops. You don’t have same box type design we are used to seeing. Here we have a glossy portion in the front that improves the look of the desktop significantly. There are also a couple of USB ports which is a very good design language as most of the desktops have the ports in the behind. This makes usage of the ports a lot easier. The ventilation is done at the sides.

Processor and Memory

We have a quad core processor here in the name of AMD A6-5200. This chip has a maximum clocking frequency of 2.0GHz. There are 4 cores which makes handling things easier for users. The processor can run the operating system (Windows 8.1) and other applications without any lag.

There are 4 gigs of RAM in the memory department. This amount of RAM can help you do multi tasking seamlessly. Spec gurus might suggest this isn’t enough but in reality this amount of memory is more than enough to perform your everyday tasks and even light work like office and other apps.

Hard drive and Graphics

There is a spacious 1TB hard drive which comes pre-installed with the latest offering from Microsoft. 1024MB is a lot space and should be enough for most of the people unless you already have a big data bank with you. In that case, cheaper external disks might come in handy.

The AMD Radeon HD 8400 is a decent graphics card and it does make sure it runs most of the games. However, if you are an avid gamer you might have to look elsewhere. The graphics chip comes with 2048MB of dedicated memory that helps improve the visual experience of the users. You won’t be complaining about this at this price point.

There are 6 USB ports of which 2 belong to the latest generation. There is a super multi DVD drive that can read and write for you. There is also a multimedia card reader that can come in very handy for those who use a lot of memory cards. Other regular options like wireless connectivity and VGA ports are also available.

Is It Worth the Money?

To be very honest, Yes. You get a good looking desktop which is very functional. There is a lot of space for you to meddle with and you got four cores to test the processing power to the fullest. All of these in a very small and affordable price tag.

Pros

  • Quad core processor
  • 1TB hard drive

Cons

  • No SSD
