Dell Inspiron I15N-190OBK Laptop Review
Dell has really dominated the laptop industry with its flagship devices. The Inspiron series’ recent release, the Dell Inspiron I15N-190OBK is another attempt to repeat its previous successes. This new laptop is perfect for those who aren’t ready to start working with Windows 8 as this one comes with the classic 64-bit Windows 7 operating system in it.
The design of the laptop is pretty standard and nothing out of the box. The dimensions of the laptop makes it easy to carry it around and isn’t much of a weight at just around 8 pounds.
The screen comes with a usual size of 15.6 inches and is completely free from gloss. The screen also has an excellent viewing angle and the resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels offer some really good images that could please your eyes.
The insides are also fairly decent. The laptop is powered by an Intel Pentium B950 which clocks around 2.1GHz. The processor isn’t definitely the latest but still manages to run the operating system without any struggle. The processor is well supported by the 4GB RAM which gives you the freedom of running some high end applications.
The hard drive is just about enough at 500GB. People who aren’t hardcore users will not have anything to complain about. There are 4 USB 2.0 ports which can help you to transfer files in good speed. The optical drive also does its job satisfactorily.
There aren’t many drawbacks with this laptop except a few. The absence of the USB 3.0 port is really not impressive as it is becoming the latest technology in data transfer. Also the presence of a solid state drive could have improved the performance significantly but its absence is justified by the low price tag.
These are minor issues which can be easily overlooked. The Dell Inspiron I15N-190OBK is a very good laptop but is still a couple of steps back when compared to the latest trends in the industry. If you are in need of a good laptop at a low price then this one is a good option. It is also a very good bet if you aren’t impressed with the new Windows 8.
