From the design standpoint, this BenQ monitor is a minimal yet good-looking one. It boasts a clean design, and there are no so-called cool elements that play out of line. If you are looking for a display that will help you focus on what’s on the screen, this one can definitely help.
The stand here is made of aluminum, and it comes in a T-shape with hairline finish. The black embellishment on the stand adds to its elegance and looks great. It does a great job and holds the display without any wobbling. It is a shame that you can’t adjust the height or even swivel it around. The ports can be found on the backside and reached easily.
BenQ GW2470H Specs and Features
This is a 23.8-inch monitor and with that size, we got to say that BenQ had hit the sweet spot. This size will be perfect for the majority of the users and won’t take up that much room as well. The resolution here is 1920 x 1080 pixels which is full HD. At this price range, this is the best res you can get right now. The picture quality is excellent and is perfect for watching movies, TV shows, and other media as well.
As we mentioned before, we have VA panels instead of IPS and TN panels. The idea of using this type of panel is to get the better sides of both TN and IPS panels. One of the distinct advantages here is the contrast ratio. It is a lot higher at 3000:1 and is capable of producing some very deep blacks and bright whites.
So this is not an IPS panel, so the viewing angles should suck, right?
No, the viewing angle are equally good if not better. You get a wide viewing angles of 178 degrees, both vertically and horizontally. This is great for watching the content on your display from anywhere in your room. This will come in handy when you are making a presentation on your display to a bunch of clients as all of them can see the same picture.
The BenQ GW2470H model offers you support 72% NTSC color gamut. The color accuracy is pretty good and for someone who edits photos or designs web pages, this is crucial. The response time of 4ms will also be useful in removing motion blur from your viewing experience even if not entirely.
The flicker-free technology in this display is one of the best features as it provides more importance to your health. A regular screen will flicker a lot of times in a day’s usage. You may not see them for yourself, but your eyes take the damage without even you knowing. This particular technology brings down the damages caused to your eye that is a welcome feature.
There is an HDMI high-speed media interface that makes connectivity simple. You can connect not only desktops and notebooks but also stuff like gaming consoles and DVD/Blu-ray players. The display also has built-in Windows 10 support. So, just plug and play without going through any driver installation problems.
